Job Description

Would you like to use your professional expertise to help others, while earning a good living alongside your studies or job?
Min Mentor is looking for committed mentors for flexible digital teaching with competitive fees.
What we are looking for
We are looking for committed and professionally confident mentors who want to contribute to good learning and mastery among students. To become a mentor at Min Mentor, you must have started or completed bachelor's or master's studies at a university or college, and have good professional skills in the subjects you want to teach.
We place great emphasis on communication skills and personal suitability. It is important that you have good pedagogical and social skills, the ability to explain subject matter in a clear and adapted way, and meet students with confidence, structure and commitment. You must be able to adapt the teaching to different levels, needs and learning styles.
As a mentor with us, you are expected to appear professional, come prepared for teaching and contribute to a safe and positive learning experience. You must be fluent in Norwegian, both spoken and written.
To ensure availability for students, we ask that you set aside at least seven hours per week for teaching.
Job Duties
As a mentor at Min Mentor, you will provide digital teaching and academic guidance for students at primary, secondary and university levels. Teaching takes place one-on-one or in smaller sessions via our app with a built-in video solution, and is adapted to the individual student's needs, level and learning goals.
The work consists of explaining subject matter in an educational and engaging way, helping students understand assignments and the curriculum, and contributing to structure, mastery and academic progression. You will meet students with different challenges and prerequisites, and it is expected that you are able to adapt the communication to different learning styles and levels.
As a mentor, you plan and conduct the teaching yourself, within the framework of the platform. You choose when you are available for teaching, and accept bookings directly in the app. You are expected to come prepared, maintain a professional and safe environment for the lesson, and contribute to a positive learning experience for the student.
Everything practical about booking, payment, and technical implementation is handled by Min Mentor. Students pay in the app before the lesson starts, and you receive a fee directly to your account after each session, based on actual time spent.
We offer
As a mentor at Min Mentor, you get a flexible and predictable mentor role where you control when and how much you want to teach. The lessons are conducted digitally via our app, making it easy to combine the mentor role with studies, another job, or other commitments.
We offer competitive terms, with a fee of NOK 410 per lesson. Students pay for the lessons directly in the app before the session starts, and you receive the fee directly to your account after each completed session, based on actual time spent. Min Mentor handles all payment and administration, so you don't have to deal with invoicing, collection, or accounting work.
As a mentor, you become part of a professional community with a focus on quality, learning enjoyment and mastery. You get access to a professional digital platform with built-in video, easy booking and clear frameworks for implementing the teaching. At the same time, the mentor role provides valuable pedagogical experience and strengthens both competence and CV.
About the employer:
The platform connects students and mentors directly, with built-in video, easy booking and a secure payment solution.
