At the Environmental Administration in Uppsala Municipality, we work for sustainable social development and to create good and healthy living environments for all residents of the municipality. The Environmental Administration has approximately 100 employees who work with food inspection, supervision of environmentally hazardous activities, health protection, alcohol inspection and land surveying. Our office is located in the city hall at Uppsala's travel center, and there is some possibility of remote working.
The Environmental Administration is responsible for inspecting approximately 1,900 food establishments. There is a wide variety of different types of establishments. In addition to restaurants, large catering establishments and shops, there are also a number of manufacturers, wholesalers, bakeries and waterworks. As a food inspector, you will inspect food establishments and handle incoming cases. You are expected to run cases independently in collaboration with other employees.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a university degree in food, environmental and health protection or another area that the employer deems relevant to the position, as well as a B driving license. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. If you have experience of working as a food inspector, this is considered an advantage.
As a person, you take responsibility for your work and drive your own processes forward. Furthermore, you collaborate well with other people. We also see that you are communicative and have an easy time listening and adapting your way of communicating. In addition, you plan, organize and prioritize your work in an effective manner.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a war deployment.
