Job Description
We are looking for a Transport Coordinator for a leading logistics player in the Antwerp port region.
In this role, you are responsible for the daily operational functioning of the transport department at the Verrebroek site.
You report directly to the Transport Manager and play a key role in the coordination and follow-up of drivers, administrative staff, and dispatch employees.
You feel at home in road transport, keep a cool head when things get busy, and know how to get people on board in a clear, no-nonsense manner. Hands-on work is not a buzzword for you, but the standard.
### Your Responsibilities
You monitor and optimize daily processes within the transport department.
You track KPIs and operational objectives and make adjustments where necessary.
You ensure smooth overall coordination of all transport activities.
You act as the first point of contact for all transport employees.
You collaborate with the various teams in a results-oriented manner.
You organize the work activities in line with the policies of management and the Board of Directors. You report to the Transport Manager.
### Profile
You possess strong organizational skills with healthy stress resistance and a clear communication style. You can work independently, but also know perfectly well when coordination is necessary. You speak your mind without losing sight of collaboration.
## Additionally, you possess:
Relevant and demonstrable experience in transport or logistics.
A relevant higher education degree.
A Class B driver's license.
Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English.
