About the job
You will work in one or more of our units with typical tasks for a veterinary nurse. With us, you will work evidence-based and with access to modern equipment.
The position is an hourly paid position and the work can be done day, evening or night - on weekdays or weekends.
Your background
You are a licensed veterinary nurse with anesthesia skills. Experience in intensive care is an asset. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
You enjoy meeting pet owners in different situations and realize the importance of maintaining good customer relationships. You are communicative with a good ability to create and maintain good relationships with colleagues. You are interested in participating in the work of creating good conditions for undergraduate education and research. You know that an event-driven operation is something you can handle. Your approach is scientific with an interest in evidence-based care.
As a person, you are structured, can handle sometimes stressful situations, have good self-awareness and a desire to contribute to the operation. In this recruitment, we will place great importance on your personal abilities.
About us
The Department of Clinical Sciences is responsible for undergraduate education, research and postgraduate education in anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, animal care, epidemiology, laboratory animal science, surgery, clinical chemistry, medicine and reproduction. In all subjects, our activities span all animal species.
At SLU University Animal Hospital (UDS), education, research and advanced animal care go hand in hand. We train tomorrow's veterinarians and animal nurses and provide first-class care for companion animals, competition animals and production animals. We also disseminate knowledge to the general public. By combining established knowledge with the latest research results, we develop the future of animal healthcare.
Under one roof, healthcare is offered for horses, dogs, cats and other small animals. In addition to modern premises adapted to the business, we have access to advanced imaging diagnostics and a veterinary specialist laboratory. UDS's operations also include an outpatient clinic that goes out to stables and farms to examine and treat horses and farm animals.
