Support assistant for Active Everyday Life in Social Psychiatry

Within the social administration in Järfälla municipality, there is the social psychiatry area, whose task is to carry out support and assistance interventions for people with mental functional variations of various kinds, and our activity Active Everyday Life is the heart of that work. Here, people meet committed employees who, with warmth and competence, help each individual find their way to a meaningful life.
We are now looking for an employee for Active Everyday Life in social psychiatry. Active Everyday Life is an intervention for people with mental illness or people covered by SoL. Active Everyday Life has two operating locations, one in Jakobsberg and the other in Kallhäll. With us, you can participate in, for example, cooking, baking, color and shape, exercise, music and much more. The activities currently have 60 participants who take part in various activities from Monday to Friday, as well as more social gatherings on weekends and public holidays. The activities are open between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on weekdays and half a day on other days.
JOB DUTIES
The work is about supporting and inspiring the participants to have an active everyday life with different activities. By providing motivation and guidance and creating a structure in everyday life and strengthening the person's own abilities. The support should be done together with the participant and the idea is that the work is a preparatory effort to give the individual the opportunity for personal development and social community.
As a support assistant, you are expected to:
- Help, motivate and provide support in the activity
- Contribute to a meaningful and good life
- Inspire participants to find a suitable activity
- Contribute with competence and knowledge for the development of the activity.
-Be flexible and be able to support in case of absence
-Be creative and committed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• You are a trained mental health nurse or assistant nurse specializing in psychiatry
• Have previous experience working with the target group
• You can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
As a person, you are fearless and proactive in unpredictable situations. You are confident in yourself and with the target group. Furthermore, you are responsive, stress-resistant, flexible and within the framework of written routines, you have the ability to plan, evaluate a situation and take your own initiatives that lead the business and participants in a positive direction. We would like you to have experience in baking and cooking as the business prepares lunch every day and bakes several times a week.
It is an advantage if you have:
• Training in MI (motivational interviewing)
• B-Driving license
• Experience of low-affective treatment
