Your future challenge
In the role of junior software test engineer, you will be part of a growing and competent team at our client, who develops and manages advanced systems for real-time monitoring and management. The systems are used operationally in reality and place high demands on quality, reliability and usability.
As a test engineer, you work at the interface between technology and users. You will gain a deep understanding of how large software systems work in practice and how they are used in the customer's daily work. The role is an excellent first step for those who want to build a broad technical understanding and eventually develop further in, for example, systems engineering, test management or technical project management.
You will work closely with developers and other engineers, where collaboration, curiosity and quality are at the center.
Examples of tasks
Plan, implement and document tests of entire software systems Test the system from the user's perspective, with particular focus on graphical interfaces (GUI) Ensure that the software functions according to requirements before delivery to the customer Follow up on test results and clearly describe deviations and areas for improvement Collaborate closely with developers to understand function, requirements and technical solutions Contribute to the development and improvement of working methods within testing Participate in customer training and produce user support and documentation
Today, the focus is primarily on manual testing, but there is a clear ambition to gradually develop and introduce more automated testing.
We believe that you have
A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in computer science, software engineering or a similar field An analytical and curious approach - you like to understand how things are connected Good collaboration skills and enjoy communicating with both colleagues and customers Ability to explain technical issues in an educational way Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
A merit, but not a requirement
Experience in software testing and/or programming Interest in or experience in automated testing Experience in requirements work or structured development work Familiarity with tools for test or issue management.
