LKAB Norge AS is now looking for a new industrial mechanic for our maintenance department in Narvik.
As a mechanic with us, you will be part of a team that has a high focus on safety and solving tasks together - both with your own or adjacent departments.
We are looking for a positive, committed and professionally strong mechanic who is solution-oriented and has good collaboration skills.
In addition, we want you to be structured, tidy and efficient. You must enjoy working both in a team and independently.
Together with the rest of the team, it is important that we always do our best, and it is therefore expected that we develop by learning new things, as well as seeking information on our own.
The position is during the day, but will be part of a shift arrangement, this to keep operations running in the event of
any errors and breakdowns.
Job duties
Technical control of our facility according to our maintenance system.
Daily reporting and follow-up in our maintenance system. (IFS)
Repairs and service at the facility.
Your qualifications:
Mechanic/industrial mechanic certificate or other relevant certificate and expertise.
Good computer skills, to be able to handle work orders and reporting.
Driving license class B
Experience from heavy industry, forklift driver's license and G4 overhead crane is an advantage.
Our communication is in Norwegian, and it will be a prerequisite that you can make yourself understood.

In Narvik, LKAB Norge AS and LKAB Malmtrafikk AS are responsible for train transport, operation of the railway terminal and port for unloading and loading of iron ore products.
The business handles approximately 20 Mton of iron ore products from train to ship, as well as the return of additives from ship to train that ensure production in the ore field. The port has an annual capacity of 30 million tons, making it Norway's largest port for bulk materials.
