Job Description
Do you want a job that really matters? A happy and active girl of almost 8 years old in Askim is now looking for a safe and caring BPA assistant who can join in on play, everyday life and little adventures. The position is on a call basis, with the possibility of permanent employment for the right person.
What is BPA?
User-controlled Personal Assistance (BPA) is an alternative way of organizing practical and personal assistance services for people with disabilities. BPA is an equality and liberation tool, and through assistance from their own assistants, it is made possible for people with assistance needs to have an active and as independent a life as possible.
About me and my needs
You will have an important role in my everyday life and be part of exciting activities and great experiences. Sometimes it is just you and me, other times mom is with me. During holidays I may also ask if you want to travel with us.
I was born with a very rare syndrome that causes both physical and cognitive impairment, delayed development and limited language development. I use sign language to support my communication. You don't need to know this beforehand, but it is important that you are willing to learn a little.
I need support and help with all my daily tasks and activities. At the same time, I am practicing becoming more independent, so you need to be patient and be able to show me how I can handle both small and large challenges. I may have some difficulties with thinking about consequences and impulse control, so it is important that you are close by, follow up and make sure I am safe.
I have a lot of energy and love playing and having fun. When it comes to outdoor activities, I especially like trampolines, ball, sandboxes and water play. I really enjoy going to water parks, so it is great if you also like swimming. I don't have any animals of my own, but I love them very much, so visiting the farm is also something we can do together. Inside, I like to play with my play kitchen and dolls. Music and dancing are great fun. When I get tired, I need help to calm down. Then I like you to read a book to me, or that we relax together with children's TV.
