Job Description
We are now looking for a summer temporary position with us. The position is a rotating work on weekdays and weekends. The position reports to the Reception Manager.
Thon Hotel Harstad is Harstad's largest hotel. The hotel has been completely renovated and expanded, with handover in February 2021. We have expanded the room capacity to 187 rooms with around 450 beds. In addition, we offer 5 modern meeting rooms, a fitness room and two inviting restaurants. Today, our reception team consists of 8 permanent employees and 5 on-call temporary employees, who together deliver the best service in town.
Thon Hotel Harstad is centrally located and 2 minutes from the express boat pier, 5 minutes from the Hurtigruten pier and 4 minutes from the Alti shopping center.
You will be part of a team that plays well with each other, so that together we create great days at work and take care of our good working environment. As a receptionist with us, you will have working hours according to the current work schedule, which includes first shift (06:45-15:00), middle shift (12:00-20:00), evening (14:45-23:00), night receptionist (22:45-07:00) and weekends in case of illness and vacation. Other working hours must also be expected.
## Responsibilities/tasks:
Meet all guests in a professional and committed manner
Check-in and check-out of guests
Operate switchboard and handle all inquiries
Keep reception and lobby tidy and inviting
Handle personal data confidentially
Maintain guest and hotel security
Actively work with additional sales and upselling of hotel products
Cash and credit management
Various reception work that may occur
