Position
For our client in the Port of Ghent, we are looking for a transport planner.
This is your extensive and challenging responsibilities as a transport planner:
Organizing transport planning efficiently and cost-effectively.
Developing and documenting effective processes and procedures.
Responsible for processing orders in relevant systems.
Supporting transport planning, primarily with charter vehicles and DFDS trailers.
Assisting with daily planning and contributing to the optimization of round trips.
Ensuring customer satisfaction by solving problems and minimizing risks.
Monitoring drivers and subcontractors to ensure on-time deliveries.
Monitoring compliance with customer requirements within the set deadlines and providing communication, follow-up, and feedback.
Profile
The ideal transport planner candidate ticks all the boxes:
You are comfortable working in a 2-shift system (6:00 AM - 2:06 PM and 1:54 PM - 10:00 PM);
Experience in the logistics sector, preferably as a transport planner;
Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English;
Strong computer skills, including MS Office;
Customer-oriented, accurate, and prioritizing skills;
You are flexible;
