The University Hospital of Northern Norway has a temporary position available for a doctor specializing in general surgery.
We need skilled employees with a genuine interest in the surgical fields. At UNN Tromsø, as a doctor specializing in general surgery, you have great development opportunities within all surgical fields. All fields deliver quality of high national and international standards.
A doctor specializing in general surgery will be part of the surgical primary shift and rotate between gastrosurgery, urology, cardiology, lung and vascular surgery, chest and endosurgery. The shift is an 8-part shift and involves night work.

UNN Tromsø has a well-equipped simulation center for training surgical skills.
The positions are formally under the Breast-Endocrine and Urology Section, but are rotational positions where you gain experience from all fields of expertise before deciding which specialty to take.
UNN HF is a regional health enterprise responsible for ensuring the population in the region has specialist health services.
UNN Tromsø offers specialised treatment to patients from all over Northern Norway.
The surgical activities at UNN are functionally divided between the three hospitals in Tromsø, Harstad and Narvik. Some of the education can therefore be given in the surgical departments in Harstad and/or Narvik by agreement. See also education plans on our website.

### Qualifications
Norwegian authorization as a doctor, as well as approved rotation service/LIS part 1
knowledge of the framework conditions for the specialist health service
proficiency in Norwegian, spoken and written
