You have successfully completed your secondary education, ideally at least a secondary school leaving certificate – e.g. For example, regarding the commercial aspects of the apprenticeship:

## ... ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Rhein-Neckar) oversees the apprenticeship program as the responsible body, monitors its quality, and organizes the intermediate and final examinations. Vocational school classes are held at the Justus-von-Liebig-School in Mannheim during the first year of the apprenticeship. From the second year onward, classes take place at the Johann-Georg-Doertenbach-School in Calw. Winter examinations are held at the Johann-Georg-Doertenbach-School in Calw, and summer examinations at the State Vocational School for the Hotel and Catering Industry in Villingen-Schwenningen.
