Job Description
We have an 80% temporary position available from 01.05.2026 to 31.12.2026, with the possibility of extension, as a psychologist/psychology specialist at the Social Pediatric Section.
The section is organized under the Department of Pediatric Neurology, Children and Adolescents Clinic, located at Ullevål Hospital.
The Social Pediatric Section works at the interface between health, police, child welfare and law, and has 20 employees.
We have interdisciplinary responsibility for patient groups with issues such as overweight/obesity, anorexia, neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse and genital mutilation. Forensic and social pediatric work takes place at the State Children's Home Oslo and at the Children and Adolescents Clinic at Ullevål Hospital.
We receive inquiries about children/families from the police, child welfare services, GPs, health centres/school health services, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP) and other parts of the specialist health service. We emphasize interdisciplinary work in collaboration with the primary care and specialist health service.
Our section focuses on knowledge-based practice and conducts knowledge building and dissemination through the Regional Competence Service on Violence and Sexual Abuse against Children and Adolescents, which is under the Social Pediatric Section.
The clinical psychology work will consist of mapping eating problems and mental health in children with severe overweight/obesity and anorexia and crisis follow-up of parents and children/adolescents after abuse and trauma.
Employees who will work with children or people with developmental disabilities must present a police certificate upon joining the hospital in accordance with Section 20a of the Health Personnel Act. The police certificate must not be older than three months.

### Qualifications
To thrive in our work, we are looking for you who have the following qualifications:
Norwegian authorization as a psychologist/psychologist
### Experience with surveying or assessing the mental health of children and adolescents
### Experience with psychosocial follow-up of parents and children
### Experience with interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral work
Good written and oral communication skills are required. It is a prerequisite that the applicant is fluent in a Scandinavian language.
It will also be considered positive if you have experience with:
Eating disorders
Knowledge of how trauma affects human health, development and functioning
Research within the area of children and adolescents
### Experience and/or interest in working with families with complex needs
