Job Description

Job duties / Subject requirements:
For the teaching position, you must work based on the school's overall needs, and be prepared to teach and follow up students at all levels. 
The following subjects are particularly desired for the teaching position:
Special education.
English - primarily grades 1-7.

For the position as a subject supervisor in special education: 
As a subject supervisor in special education, you will have a central role in strengthening the school's work with adapted education and special educational measures and individually adapted education. You will work closely with school management, teachers and other professional bodies to ensure quality in the special education work.
Examples of work duties: 
Supervised teachers and employees in special education work / individually adapted education.
Contribute to the development of an inclusive learning environment.
Participate in the mapping, assessment and follow-up of students with special needs.
Case management. 
Ensure quality in the preparation and follow-up of IOP and other plans / reports.
Contribute to the improvement of staff competence.
Collaborate with the PP service and other partners.
Participate in development work at the school/municipality level.
Contribute to systematic work with intensive training and individually tailored training.
Qualifications:
For employment as a teacher, teaching competence is required in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act and the Competence Regulations.
Approved pedagogical education as a primary school teacher.
Other pedagogical education can also be considered, e.g. education as:
Subject teacher.
Preschool teacher/kindergarten teacher with necessary additional subjects.
Approved educational competence through subject education with PPU.
Good digital competence, relationship competence and classroom management are emphasized.
Good oral and written skills in Norwegian, minimum level B1.
Relevant experience:
Experience working with children and young people.
For the position of Supervisor in Special Education, it is desirable to have: 
Relevant higher education in special education (minimum bachelor's, preferably master's).
Experience from working in a school, preferably with special education tasks.
Good knowledge of current legislation, curricula and the concept of inclusion.
Expertise in supervision and development work is an advantage.
Good digital competence, collaboration and relationship competence are emphasized.
Good oral and written skills in Norwegian, minimum level B1.

Good communication skills towards students, guardians and colleagues.
Good collaboration skills and ability to create good relationships.
