Job Description

Would you like to contribute to strengthening the municipality's work with civil protection and emergency preparedness, while also playing a central role in administrative case management at the municipal director's office?
Tinn municipality is looking for a structured and development-oriented employee in a 100% position as emergency preparedness coordinator and case manager. The position is organized at the municipal director's office and will have a two-part function, where the main emphasis is on the municipality's work with emergency preparedness, civil protection, planning, exercises and coordination. In addition, the position will contribute to case management and administrative tasks related to the municipal director's office. Tinn municipality is part of the Kongsberg region, and the person appointed will be able to take part in relevant professional networks and regional cooperation that provide good opportunities for professional development, sharing of experience and learning across municipalities.
The position is suitable for you who have relevant professional expertise in emergency preparedness or public administration, and who enjoy working both strategically, systematically and operationally.
Job responsibilities
The job responsibilities will include, among other things, following up and further developing the municipality's comprehensive work with civil protection and emergency preparedness, including planning, routines, risk and vulnerability analyses, exercises and evaluation. The position will also involve coordination and interaction with internal and external actors in the emergency preparedness field, following up on relevant systems and tools, as well as administrative tasks and case management at the municipal director's office. Other tasks within the area of responsibility may be added to the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education, preferably in civil protection and emergency preparedness, public administration, political science, community planning, legal subjects or other relevant fields. Relevant experience may in some cases compensate for the education requirement.
Experience from emergency preparedness work, public administration or case management is desirable. Knowledge of the municipal sector, planning, investigative work and coordination across disciplines would be an advantage. The position requires good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian and good digital competence.
Personal qualities
We emphasize that you work structured and independently, have good execution skills and the ability to follow up on several processes at the same time. You must be confident in written presentation, have a good understanding of roles and be able to collaborate well with different professional environments and external partners.
