Financial Controller – become a key person in one of Bergen's most exciting real estate companies
Bergen Byfortettetting develops homes with high architectural quality and a clear goal to contribute positively to the urban development of Bergen. We are a small and efficient team that has grown rapidly, and with only seven employees we have already reached a turnover of NOK 235 million.
In the next few years we will continue to grow and expect to pass half a billion NOK in turnover by 2028. To succeed, we need a Financial Controller who wants more than just accounting – we are looking for someone who will be close to the decisions, projects and value creation.
The role
With us, you will have overall responsibility for the finance function. You will work closely with the general manager and project managers, and be a key contributor in the work of ensuring good financial management in a business with many parallel projects and a high level of activity.
This is a role for those who like to understand how the business actually creates value, and who are motivated by being close to the business.
Your most important responsibilities
Cash flow management, forecasts and budgeting
Project accounting and financial follow-up of development projects
Ongoing accounting, reconciliation and financial reporting
Presentation of financial status in project meetings
Support and advice to project managers and general manager
Further development of routines, systems and reporting tools
Follow-up of purchasing and supplier agreements
Contribute to good financial control in a rapidly growing business
Who are we looking for?
We believe you will succeed well if you:
Have experience with accounting, financial management and project finance
Have a good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and liquidity management
Have experience from small or medium-sized businesses where you have had broad responsibility
Have a strong understanding of systems and good Excel skills
Experience with Visma and Power BI is preferred
Have an interest in real estate, project management or investments
Are confident in their own judgments and take independent responsibility
