Become a section manager with us!
Within the department for construction, operations and maintenance, there is a vacancy for section manager cleaning. Construction, operations and maintenance operates and maintains Rogaland County Council's property, mainly administrative buildings and upper secondary schools. 
The section manager cleaning leads a separate section in the department, and has the overall professional and financial responsibility for the cleaning services provided on the county council's properties. The section also has the operational responsibility for the cleaning of the administrative buildings. As of today, the section consists of 11 employees who carry out the section's tasks.
As section manager, you will be an important contributor to the work of developing and adapting the cleaning services of the future in Rogaland County Council. This involves, among other things, continuous assessment of the current operating model, as well as work on streamlining and quality development of the services seen from both a professional and financial perspective. 
You will also lead a section that collaborates closely with the upper secondary schools, with a particular focus on consulting, skills development and development of good cleaning services.
The workplace is in temporary premises in the center of Stavanger, the county hall is currently undergoing rehabilitation and we will move into new premises in the summer of 2027.
Job responsibilities:
Overall management of the cleaning section, with responsibility for disciplines, personnel and finances
Ensure efficient operation and development of the cleaning services in line with the county municipality's goals, strategies and regulations.
Ensure good resource utilization, budget management and financial reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and professionalization of the cleaning profession
Lead and further develop the section as a professional environment for cleaning, including coordination of cleaning in schools and administrative buildings
Assist employer responsibilities, including recruitment, follow-up, development and performance reviews
An advisory role within the cleaning profession with collaborating sections.
Contribute to good decision-making processes and comprehensive deliveries across departments and organizations
Develop and follow up routines, standards and quality in service delivery

We are looking for you who have the following qualifications:
Relevant vocational certificate, technical college or higher education
Leadership experience or experience with work management
Knowledge within the section's fields of expertise, i.e. knowledge of cleaning tasks and applicable regulations in the area.
Good knowledge and understanding of standard NS-INSTA 800
Good collaboration skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to think strategically

Understanding of political processes and the interaction between politics and administration
Experience with personnel management and employee development.
Good expertise in various software and digital tools
Ability to lead and implement processes and projects
Ability to take initiative, see solutions and is responsible and result-oriented
