Ullensvang municipality has a 100% vacant position, permanent as a pedagogical leader in Hestavoll kindergarten. If there are no qualified applicants, others will be considered. 
Hestavoll kindergarten has 3 departments divided into 60 places. The kindergarten is located in the center of Odda, right next to Odda elementary school. We have an international environment that emphasizes good interaction and inclusion. We have art, culture and creativity as our focus. The kindergarten has many nice hiking areas that we use throughout the year.

Job duties 
Lead the pedagogical work in line with current legislation and management documents.
Plan, implement and evaluate the pedagogical work together with the children and other employees in the department.
Organize and lead the department in a clear direction to ensure a high-quality learning environment for all children.
Be active in the work of further developing the kindergarten as a learning organization and in the kindergarten leadership team.
Collaboration with parents and other agencies, such as PPT and health center.
 
Qualifications and requirements
Kindergarten teacher training, or equivalent, cf. the Kindergarten Act §25
Applicants with foreign qualifications must attach documentation that they meet the requirement for Norwegian skills in line with the Kindergarten Act §28.
A valid police certificate must be submitted before starting work, cf. Kindergarten License §30
Basic skills with the use of digital tools

Cancellation of education debt/student loans:
Ullensvang municipality is covered by the scheme.
Anyone who lives in one of the 189 municipalities at Statistics Norway's centrality levels 5 and 6 can have NOK 25,000 of their education debt cancelled per year from January 2026. You must be resident in one of these municipalities, and be employed, for at least one year. You will have your education debt forgiven every year, until the debt is paid off. The measure applies to all types of education debt, regardless of when it was incurred. A person who lives in one of these municipalities from 1 January 2025, or moves there at any time after this date, will be eligible to have the debt forgiven after a one-year grace period.
For information about the Public Access Act:
The starting point is that all applicant names are public according to the Public Access Act. This means that your name is made public on the municipality's mailing list when you have applied for a vacant position.
To make an exception, the municipality must have a basis in law and specifically assess in each case what the reason for the exception is.
According to Section 25 of the Public Information Act, the following requirements are set for exemptions:
"However, exemptions may be made from access to information about an applicant if the person concerned requests it. When assessing whether such a request should be complied with, emphasis shall be placed on whether there is a particular public interest in the position. The announcement shall state that information about the applicant may be made public even if the applicant has requested not to be included on the applicant list. If the request is not complied with, the applicant shall be notified of this.
