About the position
From 01.01.27, a permanent 100% position with responsibility for study administrative systems in the education department is available at Østfold University College (HiØ). 
The education department has overall responsibility for supporting and further developing the college's educational activities in close collaboration with the faculties. The department has high professional expertise and a great commitment to developing good services. The department consists of six sections; section for admissions and internationalization, section for student follow-up, section for exams, section for pedagogical development and learning (PULS), HiØ Videre and section for educational quality. The position is located in the section for educational quality, which consists of 11 employees and is led by a section manager. 
The section for educational quality has overall responsibility for ensuring and further developing the quality of the college's education. The section manages the study administrative systems, including responsibility for reporting, analysis and quality assurance of study administrative data. Furthermore, the section has administrative responsibility for the development, auditing and quality assurance of the college's study portfolio. The section also manages and further develops the college's quality system for education, and has overall responsibility for suitability assessment at the institutional level.
The Joint Student System (FS) is a study administrative system for the higher education sector, and is our common digital foundation for study administration, with study information and student data. The management of FS is changing, and we are looking for a new employee who has the desire and interest in modernizing the management of FS and associated applications at HiØ in line with the development/modernization of the FS sphere. As a system manager, you will ensure that HiØ uses systems and digital tools that ensure high data quality and efficient workflow in processes involving student data.
In collaboration with HiØ's academic communities and colleagues across the administration, you will identify opportunities and areas for improvement. You will stay up to date on developments in the sector and ensure that HiØ participates in this work. The position also includes analysis tasks and reporting responsibilities. Furthermore, you will also provide management support in issues related to your areas of responsibility. The position also includes coordination responsibility for super users within the various areas.
The college's study offerings are organized at our two campuses in Halden and Fredrikstad. The main workplace will be one of our campuses, but regular presence at both must be expected.

We have a broad study portfolio at bachelor's, master's and PhD levels. The college is located with campuses in Fredrikstad and Halden.
The college's academic environments are organized into three major faculties: Faculty of Health, Welfare and Organization, Faculty of Teacher Education and Languages, and Faculty of Information Technology, Engineering and Economics.
The college employs approximately 700 employees and has approximately 7,500 students.

Your responsibilities and work areas will mainly be
system administrator for the Joint Student System (FS), with responsibility for comprehensive management, further development and modernization
lead the work with the introduction, further development and technical changes in study administrative systems and services
carry out overall technical coordination of study administrative systems, including ensuring good and robust integrations between FS and associated solutions such as Wiseflow (exam system), Canvas (learning platform), Tableau (analysis tool) and TP (time planning)
contribute with an in-depth understanding of system architecture and interaction between the systems, and translate this into good solutions in collaboration with the academic communities
facilitate good interaction between technical and study administrative use of the systems
coordinate the work with super users and contribute to comprehensive and effective use of the system portfolio
reporting, analysis and quality assurance of study administrative data
advice and delivery of management data to management
conduct training, user support and access management
responsible for reporting student data to the Database for Statistics on Higher Education (DBH)
