From 1.8.26, Alvdal primary school and pre-school will have up to 90% vacancies as a child and youth worker.
Briefly about the unit:
Alvdal primary school has 210 students and just over 40 employees from the autumn. The school is part of the multi-purpose facility Sjulhustunet with good facilities inside and out. In addition to the school and pre-school, you will find a cultural school, a cultural center, a health club and a full-size sports hall. There is a bustling life here from morning to night. 
The school is located close to the city center and has the forest as its "closest neighbor". Here there are lavvos and gapahuken as well as a ski trail, and new from the autumn will be a bike trail on the school grounds. The school's students and employees are outdoors a lot both summer and winter.   
Here you will experience a good working environment with skilled professionals, creativity and enthusiasm. In addition to teachers and skilled workers, a nurse and social worker are also part of the staff. The school nurse is an important part of the school team and has regular days at the unit. The municipality has a TST team with regular meetings, and a BTI model (Better Interdisciplinary Efforts) has been developed that will be used to identify and help vulnerable children and young people early.
Job description/tasks:
• Contribute to good relationships and a safe learning environment for students in school and in pre-school education.
• Contribute to good cooperation and development in grades, on teams and for the community
• Support students throughout the day, both academically and socially
• Support students both in the classroom, at outdoor school, outdoor activities and during recess
• Inspection and facilitation of various activities during recess
Requirements for competence:
Professional certificate as a child and youth worker or other relevant education/competence
Personal qualities:
• Good ability to create safe relationships with students and adults
• Understanding of students' different and complex needs
• Solution-oriented and proactive
• Appears as a clear adult and good role model
• Interest in physical education and outdoor activities
• Ability to cope with stress and daily challenges
