Veitastrond Early Childhood Center is a combined kindergarten and school, idyllically located at the end of Veitastrondsvatnet. The early childhood center has a unique location in the middle of the village, surrounded by varied nature on all sides. The village has had a very positive development in recent years and is characterized by a young, forward-looking environment with good cohesion across different age groups.
The kindergarten has one department with a capacity of 24 places, and as of today there are five employees, in addition to the board. From the kindergarten year we expect to have 12 children between 1-5 years old. The kindergarten shares a building with the school and the after-school care center. There is a lot of cooperation between the kindergarten and the school, including reading, trips, special days such as Easter, carnival, ski day and the like, and we thus ensure a smooth transition from kindergarten children to school students. Otherwise, the kindergarten focuses on creating an active everyday life for the children, where we are busy with the adult role in the game.
Our vision is play, care and learning in a safe and active everyday life. This means that we have a great focus on well-being, and how we can make the days the best possible for each individual child. We are busy with physical activity and enjoyment of nature and the local environment.

## About the employer:
Veitastrond early childhood center has grades 1-7 and after-school care. The kindergarten is approved for 18 places for children aged 0-5 years. Children under 3 years take up 2 places.
