Advisor in Vegetable/Tree Farming – CETA (M/F)

The Company:
The CETA (Centre for Technical Agricultural Studies) of Saint Martin de Crau, bringing together around thirty producers in the areas of St Martin de Crau, Salon de Provence, Arles, Mas Thibert, etc., is recruiting a Vegetable/Tree Farming Technician (M/F).

The Position:
Your role will be to visit producers to monitor crops, provide technical advice, and exchange on agricultural practices. You will also be responsible for conducting technical trials in collaboration with APREL or the Chamber of Agriculture. Regular field travel is expected, and an office is based at the Caphan Agricultural Cooperative, Saint Martin de Crau.

Responsibilities:
Under the authority of the Board of Directors:

* Technical monitoring of member producers’ crops (50% of the time)

* Crop monitoring and technical advice, training, information, technical and scientific updates: soil and hydroponic crops, vegetable farming, greenhouse crops, conventional and organic.
* Crop agro-management: irrigation, fertilization, and ventilation.
* Advisory to producers:

* Variety selection, plant protection, integrated pest management, experimentation, etc.
* Visit reports.
* Experimentation in collaboration with APREL/Chamber of Agriculture:

* Implementing technical trials: test varieties, new techniques, etc.
* Ensuring coordination with the local experimentation network.
* Writing technical bulletins and seasonal reports; participating in producer meetings.
* Administrative management of the association.

Your Profile:

* Education: Bac+2 to Bac+5 in an agricultural field
* Holder of a Category B driving license
* Certiphyto certification
* Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
