Job Description

**PROVINCIAL LANDSCAPE FOUNDATION KEMPENS LANDSCHAP – PROJECT COORDINATOR LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT (M/F/X)**

The Provincial Landscape Foundation Kempens Landschap is looking for an enthusiastic and competent employee. Skills are more important than age, gender, ethnicity, or disability. Currently, the foundation is conducting a selection procedure for the position of **Project Coordinator** with a passion for landscape, nature, and heritage.

**About us:**
Kempens Landschap was founded in 1997 by the Provincial Government of Antwerp and around 40 municipalities in the Kempen region, aiming to secure valuable landscapes and open spaces, as well as associated cultural assets, for the future.

Statutory objectives include “acquisition, protection, valorization, and, if necessary, restoration of the environment, landscape, nature, and cultural heritage in the province of Antwerp. This also includes maintenance, management, accessibility, and public opening of monuments owned by the association.”

The foundation’s office is located at Ter Speelbergen domain, Peredreef 5, 2580 Putte (Beerzel), covering the entire province of Antwerp.

**Role and responsibilities:**
As a Project Coordinator, you are the key figure in implementing landscape projects within the organization.

* Plan and follow up on landscaping, management, and maintenance works on the foundation’s sites.
* Prepare management plans, project files, and execution dossiers to guide field operations.
* Keep your knowledge of landscape, forest, and nature management up to date.
* Identify and secure funding at European and Flemish levels.
* Build strong relationships with policymakers and municipal or Flemish government staff.
* Identify opportunities and initiate new projects in line with Kempens Landschap’s mission.

* **Numerical affinity:** Comfortable managing budgets and monitoring project-related financial data.

**Knowledge competencies:**

* Well-versed in landscape, forest, and nature management.
* Knowledge of project management.
* Affinity with heritage.
* Proficient in IT applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, GIS, and internet tools).
* Trilingual (Dutch – English – French) is a plus.
* Experience with heritage or nature agencies, forest groups, regional landscapes, or Flemish Land Agency is an advantage.

**Requirements:**

* Master’s degree (preferably in landscape, forestry, or heritage) with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
* Possession of a driving license B and access to a car.
* Willingness to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.
