**WATER RESCUER I – M/F**

Job location, KOPER , Coastal-Karst - Slovenia

**WATER RESCUER, probationary work 6 months, permanent contract, full-time, 40 hours**
Public employee performs the following duties and tasks:

* Carries out tasks in accordance with legislation on drowning prevention,
* Continuously monitors swimming areas and pool deck,
* Maintains order according to regulations and pool rules,
* Keeps the daily log of water rescuers’ activities,
* Ensures safe operation and use of the sports facility, equipment, and related infrastructure,
* Supervises changing rooms and other pool and swimming area spaces,
* Prepares pool areas for events and competitions,
* During training and program execution, ensures adherence to the agreed schedule,
* Performs reception duties,
* Carries out other tasks as instructed by the department head and director.

Candidate requirements in addition to general conditions:

* No final conviction for an intentional criminal offense prosecuted ex officio and no unconditional prison sentence over three months,
* No final indictment for an intentional criminal offense prosecuted ex officio,
* Valid water rescue proficiency certificate according to A2 and B programs,
* Completed first aid proficiency test.

3. Proof of valid water rescue certificate (A2 and B),
4. Proof of completed first aid test.

Job specifics: irregular working hours (schedule) and two-shift work.

Employment: permanent contract, full-time, six-month probation. Starting pay grade: 5 (gross €1,411.28 as of posting).
