**Nature Conservation Associate IV – M/F**

Job location, LJUBLJANA , Central Slovenia - Slovenia

**Environmental Protection Specialist**, probationary period of **6 months**, **fixed-term employment** until **31 August 2029**, full-time, **40 hours per week**.

Position: **Nature Conservation Associate IV** for implementing tasks in the project **“Improvement of the Status of Selected Species and Habitat Types at Ljubljana Marshes – Živoljub”**, co-financed by the **Republic of Slovenia** and the **European Union** from the **European Regional Development Fund**.

Responsibilities include:

* Preparing data for **complex professional materials**.
* Participating in the preparation of **regulations and other complex documents**.
* Performing **operational professional tasks** in the field of work.
* Independently preparing **less complex materials with proposed measures**.
* Participating in **land acquisition procedures**.
* Cultivating and planting **characteristic plant species of protected habitat types**, collecting seeds.
* Removing **invasive alien plants** and minor woody vegetation.
* Supervising fieldwork for **land restoration and improvement**.
* Preparing **public procurement documents**.
* Collecting **soil samples for analysis**.
* Rearing the **Ljubljana Marsh Butterfly (Barjanski okarček)**.
* Operating **agricultural machinery**: mulching, mowing, and biomass harvesting.

Requirements:

* Knowledge of **regulations in the institution’s field** and the **protected area**.
* **Interpretation and communication skills**.
* Ability to maintain **park infrastructure and land**.
* Advantageous: **driver’s license categories B and F** and experience with **agricultural machinery** (mowing, turning, baling, transporting bales).

Work location: **Office of the Public Institution Ljubljana Marshes Landscape Park, Škofljica, Ulica ob hrastih 11**.
