Job Description

**Verdal Swimming Hall is looking for a positive, responsible, and service-oriented female lifeguard for an 88% permanent position.** The role involves working day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends according to a rotation schedule.

As a lifeguard, you will be an important part of the team ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for everyone visiting the swimming hall. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and well-being, who also wants to contribute to a positive environment for both visitors and colleagues.

Verdal Swimming Hall is connected to Verdalsøra Primary and Secondary School and is used by both students and the public. The facility has two pools – a main pool and a children/training pool – with modern, automated heating and water purification systems. The swimming hall is an important community meeting place and regularly receives visits from children, youth, adults, and seniors.

### **Responsibilities**

As a lifeguard, you will have a varied and important role in the operation of the swimming hall, including:

* Ensuring safety and supervision in and around the pools.
* Contributing to safe movement and managing situations as needed.
* Operating the ticket and information desk, welcoming visitors, providing information, and ensuring good customer service.
* Daily cleaning of changing rooms, showers, pool areas, and common areas.
* Performing simple technical tasks, such as monitoring temperature and water quality in collaboration with the technical manager.

You will receive thorough training in all tasks before starting, ensuring that you are confident in your role regardless of prior experience.

### **Qualifications**

* Satisfactory swimming skills and comfort in water.
* Completion of lifeguard and emergency preparedness courses, provided and paid for by the employer.
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Responsible, reliable, and service-minded.
* Experience in similar work is an advantage but not required – training will be provided.
