How will you make a difference?

As an electrical train maintenance technician, you help keep trains in top condition. You maintain and repair (motor)carriages and locomotives electrically. This contributes to punctual and high-quality service.

What is your role at NMBS?

You inspect, maintain, and repair the electrical components of (motor)carriages and locomotives. This includes safety systems, motors, inverters, transformers, high-voltage equipment, and more.
You work with electrical diagrams. You analyze them and look for specific issues. You enjoy flexible work schedules. You'll work in shifts, working nights and weekends one week out of five.

Why is this job right for you?

As a train maintenance electrical engineer, you'll have a significant amount of responsibility. You'll ensure our passengers can travel in perfectly functioning trains. In addition:

You have a secondary school diploma in technical or vocational secondary education (OK4) (field of study: mechanics - electricity) or a certificate of equivalence. Or you have experience (at least two years) in a technical job related to mechanics or electricity.
You have a good knowledge of electromechanics, both theoretically and practically.
You're eager to learn more about train equipment.
