What will you do?

You will be the project officer, contact person, and file manager for green spaces in the Ekeren district. You will support and advise the board and management.
You will manage the district budgets for green spaces and street furniture. You will advise on the preparation of specifications and follow up on orders.
You will coordinate green projects and supervise contractors.
You will monitor projects involving public spaces. For this, you will collaborate with the Public Space project coordinator and colleagues from Urban Development. Together with the Public Space project coordinator, you will coordinate the District Public Domain Consultation (DOD).
You will respond to reports regarding the management and maintenance of green spaces and public spaces. You will consult with field staff and colleagues and conduct site visits as needed.
You will coordinate climate adaptation projects such as de-hardening, greening, and more for the Ekeren district.

We welcome you to Administrative Affairs, joining a diverse team responsible for local responsibilities such as public spaces and green spaces. You will work closely with the Green Service's expertise center, which will provide you with substantive and technical support. Your supervisor is the Public Space project coordinator.

You have a bachelor's degree, a higher vocational education (HBO5) diploma, or a university candidate's degree.
You meet the application requirements of the City of Antwerp.
You are diplomatic. You are the link between your district, city management, and Urban Development. Through your education or personal interests, you have knowledge of the (re)development, management, and maintenance of green spaces or public spaces.
You have experience with project management. You work systematically, structured, and independently.
You are a strong negotiator.
You communicate clearly with all target groups.
You respect the political sensitivities in the district and the city.
You are proficient in Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
You identify with the city's values and are committed to a stronger Antwerp.
