Do you want to contribute to projects that improve mobility and livability in our city? As a financial expert, you'll answer colleagues' financial questions, monitor projects financially, and prepare reports. Are you analytically strong and adept at building relationships? Apply now!

What will you do?

You'll be the point of contact for colleagues with financial questions about the projects and themes you support. In the short term, these include the implementation of a collective bicycle-sharing system and contract management for parking space rentals.

The city, Flanders, and partners collaborate on projects of De Grote Verbinding (The Great Connection). These are projects related to livability and mobility. You'll oversee these projects financially.

You'll gather and analyze information, create syntheses, policy documents, and reports. Based on this information, you'll advise on optimizing financial and strategic processes.

You prepare the content of files and monitor progress. You summarize information, refer to relevant files, maintain an overview, and ensure that information is up-to-date.

You support the CFO with the preparation, modification, and forecasting of the multi-year plan.

You perform first-line checks on the organization's financial processes and implement improvements where necessary.

You prepare periodic reports, such as the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You do this together with colleagues in the finance department.

You work independently on projects related to the organization's financial operations. Or, as a financial expert, you participate in working groups, steering committees, and information sessions for policy areas of Urban Development, such as mobility, environment, public domain, and spatial planning.

You have a master's degree. Or you have a bachelor's degree in finance or economics and at least 3 years of experience in a financial position.

You meet the application requirements of the City of Antwerp.

Preferably, you have several years of experience in (public) finance. You have a basic understanding of general accounting.

You are accurate and analytical.

You connect easily with people.

You have a basic understanding of project and change management.

You understand how an organization's financial management is organized. For example, accounts payable management, accounts receivable management, multi-year financial planning, etc. This gives you insight into financial flows and processes.

You have a basic understanding of SAP or other ERP packages.

You identify with the city's values. You want to contribute to a stronger Antwerp.
