Junior accountant

Job location, 1785 MERCHTEM , Arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde - Belgium

DS Units is a growing and ambitious company specialized in customized modular construction solutions. We guide our customers from design to delivery and are known for our quality, flexibility and solution-oriented approach.

To support our further growth, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant who wants to help form the financial backbone of our company.

Your duties include:

Complete Accounting Processing: Carrying out the daily accounting from A to Z (purchases, sales, banking transactions).

Project Costing & Analysis: Accurate monitoring of costs per project. You help prepare the financial status of current files.

Reporting: Preparing and drawing up monthly and annual closures in collaboration with an external accountant.

VAT & Returns: Preparation and submission of periodic VAT returns.

Financial Management: Following up on debtors and creditors, managing bank relationships and cash flow monitoring.

Optimization: Actively think about the efficiency of the financial processes and the use of our systems.

Experience & Education: You have a bachelor's degree in accountancy/bookkeeping (or equivalent through demonstrable and recent experience).

Software knowledge (Crucial): You have very strong work experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with the Octopus accounting package is a plus.

Mindset: You are precise, structured and proactive. You are used to working in a project-oriented environment.

Languages: You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch. Knowledge of French or English is a plus.
