Job Description

We are looking for a Facility and Building Manager who is eager to work in a non-commercial context for various social enterprises and schools.

What does your job look like?

You organize the building management of a number of partner organizations with a view to, among other things, the payback effect in terms of energy and investment policy.

Your customers are the partners of the Tabor Group, in particular the partners with whom a building management sub-service is being established. This concerns: Heritage House, Sint-Bavo primary school and Sint-Bavohumaniora, primary schools of Impuls VZW and IVV Sint-Vincentius (Secondary education).

What responsibilities?

- Optimizing a facility management information system. This system is used to facilitate the heritage, for example by maintaining the inventory of buildings, premises and functions within them (techniques, safety), managing the process surrounding repairs, and making plans available in a digital manner. The system enables you to make informed decisions, including:

o The preparation of a multi-year maintenance plan with proposals for optimizing the installations and buildings. This multi-year maintenance plan also includes monitoring maintenance work and investing in preventive maintenance.

o The preparation of an energy performance plan which allows to reduce the energetic performance of installations and energy consumption at site level. The possibilities for using energy-saving measures (insulated roofs, new lighting, etc.) and the possibilities of renewable energy are fully explored.

o The preparation of an investment plan resulting in lower operating costs in terms of consumption and investments.

- The maintenance of the buildings. You are the point of contact within the organization and ensure follow-up of reported problems.

- In the long term you will have a good idea of ​​the heritage and you will participate in internal and external consultations regarding the heritage.

The actual work content may differ/vary per partner.

- You are eager to engage in a value-driven network with socially oriented organizations.

- You have the ability to work problem-solving. You are satisfied when everything runs smoothly (satisfied users and efficient infrastructure).

- You enjoy learning and following new trends and technologies/techniques.

- You have a bachelor's and/or master's degree. For example in construction, applied architecture or facility management. Or you have relevant experience that you can present. Work experience that shows an affinity with construction or computer science is certainly a plus.

- You are interested in software packages that enable you to build, understand and continuously optimize the information system.

- You have a basic knowledge of government procurement legislation and/or are willing to undergo additional training.
