Skara diocese is one of a total of 13 dioceses within the Church of Sweden and is also Sweden's oldest diocese.

Here, history and the present are woven together in a large and varied business. About 90 people work in the Skara diocese organization. The Lilleskog self-care institute is located in a beautiful natural environment just outside Alingsås. There are 12 positions in the diocese, 7 part-time positions in the team of priests on call, and the work is led by the head of department.

Skara diocese is looking for on-call priests

Skara diocese wants to strengthen the group and is looking for additional priests on duty. For the assignment as on-call priest, a special interest in and solid experience of spiritual conversations is required. We would like to see that you have previously served as an on-call priest/within institutional pastoral care, that you have participated in in-depth pastoral care training and have training and experience in crisis management.

The priest on duty is reached through three communication channels; telephone, chat and digital letter and the work means that you respond in all channels.

You will be part of a team with additional colleagues. The assignment is carried out according to schedule and includes evening hours and some nights/mornings.

The position is assumed as soon as possible or by agreement.

The position consists of intermittent hourly employment until 2027-04-30 at the latest with the possibility of extension.
