Bjerkedalen kindergarten is looking for a pedagogical leader who takes initiative and contributes to the professional environment in the kindergarten. As an educational leader with us, you will be one of 9 educators who, together with the board, make up the nursery's management team, a professionally strong team committed to creating a valuable and meaningful everyday life for individual children and the community.

Bjerkedalen nursery school is a ward nursery school with 72 children aged 1-6, organized in age-homogeneous groups. We have good common areas that are used for various activities and in relation to the children's age and needs.
The nursery is located next to Bjerkedalen park and with good hiking opportunities in the forest and urban terrain. We are inspired by Reggio Emilia's pedagogy and philosophy, our vision is "Let's go on a journey of discovery".
The staff have a listening manner towards the children and we work from the room as the 3rd teacher.
The nursery has high professional competence and professional development and educational documentation are central to our work. We have an experienced educator as an extra in addition to our basic staff.

Bjerkedalen kindergarten is a practice kindergarten in collaboration with OsloMet. We are part of the research project Språksterk and certified Reading Seed Kindergarten. We are part of the Competence Lift in collaboration with the schools in the district and ppt with the aim of developing good transitions between kindergarten and school.

Language, early intervention and public health are important investments in our work.

The position is a temporary position from 1/1-26 to 30/6-26, with the possibility of extension

 


Work assignments

Main responsibility for educational management of own department

Responsibility for planning, implementation, documentation and assessment of the educational work.

Responsibility for the holistic care of the individual child.

Responsibility for the development of the social environment and the learning environment in the children's group.

Responsibility for working up, developing and ensuring good interaction and cooperation with parents.

Be an active part of the kindergarten's management team and contribute to its development.

Co-responsibility for the development of the kindergarten as an educational activity.

Individual follow-up and personal guidance of the staff within their own area of ​​responsibility.

Is a relationship builder and contributes to the work to create a good working environment in own department and the house as a whole.

Qualifications

Approved kindergarten teacher

Good leadership and communication skills

Ability to plan, structure and organize.

Ability to take initiative, collaborate and work independently.

Good ICT knowledge, masters relevant computer tools

Interest in project work in own department, the house as a whole and with various partners.

We use Norwegian as our working language and applicants must have good Norwegian skills, both spoken and written (B2 or equivalent must be documented).

Good communication skills with employees and users are essential for the work.

Ability to cope with a high work pace and an active everyday life both outside and inside.

Desire to be a practice teacher for students and to take further training in guidance if you do not have it.

Personal suitability will be emphasized.
