The Faculty of Science at Lund University is looking for an IT and security coordinator for the Faculty of Science office with the task of coordinating and developing the faculty's IT and security work and being the point of contact between the departments, the faculty and the university.

About the workplace
At the Faculty of Science's office, we have around 40 employees. Here we work with qualified operational support for the faculty's management and institutions in the areas of education, management support, premises, research, HR, IT, finance and communication. Our work is characterized by curiosity, independence, high commitment and responsibility.

Duties and areas of responsibility
As a security and IT coordinator, you are the faculty's expert and contact person in both security and IT matters. You work with ongoing issues and development within the faculty and with our departments as well as together with the university's central functions and external suppliers. You have an ordering and demanding function, where you initiate, lead and follow up IT-related projects and security efforts. You will coordinate and develop the faculty's work in information security, IT security, physical security and crisis preparedness.

You are also the convener of the faculty's IT council with representatives from the faculty's departments, which will be a forum and important tool in your mission to drive the work of creating uniform and efficient IT structures within the faculty. You lead the faculty's strategic development, environmental monitoring and competence development in both IT and security, which also includes cooperation with other faculties.

As this is a new role at the office, there are great opportunities to influence and design the work content yourself based on the needs of the business and your own competence.

Be the faculty's expert and contact person in security and IT matters, both internally and externally
Coordinate and develop the faculty's work in information security, IT security and physical security internally and together with others
Run and coordinate crisis preparedness and security issues at faculty level
Lead and develop the faculty's IT council and coordinate with other faculties
Initiate, set requirements and follow up IT projects and IT deliveries
Manage IT and AV purchases at the faculty office
Develop and implement routines and processes for security and IT work
Support the business in matters of data protection, incident management and risk assessment
Monitor the environment and contribute to competence development in the security and IT area
Participate in relevant networks and working groups within the university

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a solution-oriented and experienced coordinator within IT and security and who enjoys working with both strategic and operational issues. You have the ability to create structure and drive development in complex environments, and you are used to coordinating and leading collaborations with many different actors. The role requires that you can switch between initiating and leading long-term development projects and providing practical support in everyday life, as well as that you can easily build trusting relationships and communicate clearly with different target groups.

Requirements for employment

University degree in a relevant field or other experience deemed equivalent
Documented experience of working with information security, IT security or physical security
Experience in IT coordination, IT project management, requirements setter, client role or similar roles within IT
Very good ability to express yourself in writing and orally in Swedish and English
Good planning and organizational skills

Meritorious for employment

Experience in crisis preparedness, data protection work and incident management
Experience of working in a larger educational organization or public sector
Knowledge of relevant regulations such as GDPR, the NIS directive and Swedish security protection legislation
Experience in developing and implementing business-wide routines, standards and processes within security or IT

At the Faculty of Science, research and education is conducted in biology, astronomy, physics, geosciences, chemistry, mathematics and environmental science. The activities are carried out at eight institutions gathered within the northern university area. The faculty has approximately 1,500 students, 360 PhD students and 700 employees.

Kansli N works with service and support for the faculty's management. We have special expertise in matters relating to undergraduate and postgraduate education, internationalisation, higher education pedagogy, finance, IT, personnel matters, communication, careers and equal conditions. Today we are about 30 people who work in the office.

We avoid all contacts from advertising vendors, recruitment and staffing companies due to government procurement rules.
