As an individual supervisor, you are responsible for guiding a child in primary school with behavioral and emotional disorders. You work individually on emotion regulation and social skills. You guide the child on an ad hoc basis during conflicts and crises. This is mainly preventive, but you also provide support when acute difficulties arise. You also support the child within the classroom context to optimally promote learning and functioning.

You will end up in a close-knit and driven team where consultation, support and intervision are central.

Assignments

You guide a child with behavioral and emotional difficulties and disorders;
You provide customized support through conversations and activities;
You act from a connection with the child and take into account his or her strengths, limitations, traumas and emotional development (= individual care needs);
You focus on support needs based on observations and conversations;
You are actively involved in conflict management and recovery;
You take care of the young person's administrative file and draw up a growth plan;
You act according to the vision and methodologies used within the MFC and BuBaO Kasterlinden.

You have a blank extract from the criminal record – model 2;
You have a bachelor's degree in orthopedagogy, applied psychology, early childhood pedagogy, social readaptation sciences, socio-cultural work, family sciences or an equivalent diploma;
You have experience in working with young people with behavioral and emotional disorders, or you are willing to learn and continue to develop;
Thanks to your stress resistance and ability to put things into perspective, you radiate peace to the child;
Experience in dealing with conflicts from a non-violent basic attitude is a plus;
You are enterprising and can work independently;
You can observe, communicate and collaborate well in a multidisciplinary team.
