Purpose of the position

For our Horizon department we are looking for an enthusiastic supervisor who wants to help build a warm and safe living environment for our young people between 12 and 21 years old with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or behavioral and emotional difficulties and/or a visual impairment.

Whether you have just graduated or have years of experience in our sector: with us you get the opportunity to do really meaningful work.

What are your duties?

You guide the young person in their development and strengthen them in their personal growth.
You create a positive and safe climate in the living group and offer learning opportunities tailored to the young person's needs.
You build a relationship of trust with the young person and their context.
You actively participate in the preparation and implementation of individual action plans.
You participate in team meetings and intervisions.
You preferably have a graduate or bachelor's degree in social work/orthopedagogy (A2/A1) or equivalent through experience.
Your knowledge and insight into working with young people with ASD and/or behavioral and emotional problems and/or visual impairment is an added value.
You have great empathy.
You are someone who believes in the power of young people and wants to work with them to develop their talents and qualities.
You provide security and structure, but you can also set boundaries.
You are a team player who enjoys multidisciplinary work.
You have problem-solving skills and you can deal with a crisis situation.
You are willing to work in the evenings and on weekends.
