**Data Engineer**

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the data team responsible for implementing a common data platform for a key client in the social security sector, covering areas such as unemployment, career breaks, and time‑credit.

You will combine an analytical approach with technical expertise to design, build, and maintain transformation pipelines. You will be actively involved in the ingestion phase of the data lifecycle—from various source systems to the Data Platform, which uses the medallion architecture—as well as the processing of data in the first two zones of the lakehouse.

Together with the data analytics engineers in the team, you will ensure orchestration so that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with the organization's needs.

You will work in a pragmatic and Agile manner.

**Your tasks**

- Develop layered transformation logic using **dbt**, focusing on maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Configure source‑to‑target mapping to transform raw data into **Data Vault** components (including hubs, links, satellites, and PIT tables)
- Automatically generate Data Vault structures using **VaultSpeed**
- Set up orchestration of data workflows with **Dagster** for reliable and timely delivery
- Perform necessary validation tests to ensure dataset quality and usability
- Troubleshoot issues and performance bottlenecks to optimize data pipelines
- Collaborate via **Git** and **CI/CD pipelines** for version control and continuous integration

**Profile**

You have a Master’s degree or can demonstrate an equivalent level through relevant experience.
You possess advanced knowledge of **SQL, dbt, Python, Git, and CI/CD**, enabling you to set up structured, high‑quality, and reproducible data processes.
You have basic knowledge of **Airbyte, Dagster, Databricks, and Data Vault**, allowing you to quickly integrate into our data infrastructure and further develop it under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Additionally, you have general basic knowledge of **Power BI**, which helps in collaborating with BI and analytics teams.
Knowledge of **dimensional modeling (Kimball)** is considered a plus and will help you design effective data models that meet business needs.
