**About the Department**
The Work and Integration Unit in Mellerud Municipality manages this initiative, financed by the Coordination Association, which is a joint effort between Mellerud and Färgelanda municipalities.

The unit has 16 employees handling cases related to financial aid, estates, budget and debt counseling, social housing contracts, integration, and labor market measures. We have a collaboration agreement with all five Dalsland municipalities for budget and debt counseling and estate administration. The unit receives applications, conducts assessments, and decides on potential assistance. The goal is to create conditions for individuals to enter the labor market through internships, work training, and wage subsidy programs to eventually become self-sufficient.

**Job Description**
As a Rehabilitation Counselor, you will work in a team-based manner, coordinating the process of work-oriented rehabilitation tailored to each individual’s needs. We follow a clear work-line approach to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency through employment or studies, influenced by BIP research.

You will collaborate with both professional and private networks around the individual, supporting, motivating, and preparing them by clarifying work conditions and planning and implementing interventions together with the individual and other actors to achieve progress. You will document the process and produce a final report for the individual and referring caseworker.

A large part of your role involves employer engagement to match individuals with suitable work training placements. You will also support employers, providing knowledge and guidance about employment. Leading group activities with colleagues may be required, and travel is common.

The position is full-time and temporary until 31/12/2026, with the possibility of extension. Start date is by agreement.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelor’s degree in social or pedagogical fields.
* Good knowledge of rehabilitation processes from other authorities.
* Comfort working with individuals with various functional differences.
* Knowledge of the local labor market and experience liaising with employers to secure work trial, training, or internship placements.
* Experience in work-oriented rehabilitation in collaboration is a plus.
* B-driving license.
