**Responsibilities**
As an Operations Engineer – Sewer Network, you will have a broad and varied role. Working with two engineer colleagues and 14 field technicians, you ensure the sewer system functions safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Daily tasks include using vacuum trucks and TV inspection vehicles for both preventive and emergency maintenance. You will also be responsible for dams, reservoirs, and other critical infrastructure related to the sewer network, covering approximately 260 miles of sewer lines from the city center to the southern archipelago. You will work closely with the pump stations and pressure pipelines unit.

Key tasks include:

* **Monitoring & Analysis:** Collect statistics, follow up on operational results, and identify improvements; some fieldwork included.
* **Projects & Development:** Participate in projects as the owner’s representative, ensuring operational and maintenance perspectives from minor contracts to major urban development projects.
* **Measurement & Supervision:** Lead flow measurement projects from initiation to management.
* **Collaboration:** Work with technicians, other units, property owners, contractors, authorities, and environmental agencies.
* **Stormwater:** Contribute technical support and development work in the stormwater competence group.
* **Preventive Work:** Develop routines, workflows, and digital tools to ensure robust long-term operations.

Your workday will include handling urgent issues as well as performing long-term, analytical tasks.

**Qualifications**

* High school education with a technical focus
* YH education in water/technical engineering or equivalent work experience
* Relevant university education
* 3–5 years of experience in a technical field, preferably in operations, maintenance, or civil/utility projects
* Good knowledge of digital systems (e.g., MS Office) and data analysis skills
* B-driving license

**Merits**

* Experience with projects or contracts, understanding responsibilities and legal principles
* Knowledge of water/sewage operations, hydraulics, or pump technology
* Experience with VA-banken or similar operations/maintenance systems
* Experience with statistics, SCADA systems, or numerical data analysis

* Security-classified position requiring Swedish citizenship and approved security clearance, including Säpo background check.
