Brain and Spinal Surgery Department NORD 3, Anesthesia & Surgery NORD is looking for an operating room nurse who is motivated by high professionalism, complex patient processes and close interdisciplinary collaboration.
The department has a regional function for diagnostics, treatment and care of patients with congenital and acquired diseases of the brain and spine.
The department performs interventions related to advanced brain and spine (spinal cord) surgery. This is, for example, open skull surgery within, among other things, cancer, traumatology and other diseases of the brain and spine. In addition, we participate in organ donation operations.
The department has four operating theatres. Surgery activity varies during the week - both within elective and emergency/urgent surgery for both children and adult patients.
As an operating room nurse, you are an indispensable part of the interdisciplinary operating team. Your tasks will be to provide care to the patient and take care of the instrumental nursing with the assistance of surgeons, handling equipment and preparation for the operation.
We are a well-functioning department with 22 operating room nurses, 18 anesthesia nurses, 1 SOSU assistant and 7 anesthetists - both very experienced colleagues and nurses who are new to the specialty.
