Job Description

The institutional care consists of:
Svolvær Nursing Home – 16 apartments.
Kabelvåg Nursing Home - 25 apartments.
Marithaugen Nursing Home – 48 places.
At Svolvær Nursing Home we provide care and health services to 16 residents. The service in Svolvær will strive to provide services at the level of nursing homes for people with somatic problems.
Our main goal is that each resident will be met with professional competence, care and respect in an inclusive and pleasant living environment where person-centered care is central.
We are looking for home help, health workers, nurses, social workers and medical students or others with experience in health and care
The summer agreement applies to the period 22..08
For nurses and social workers working as holiday substitutes in Vågan municipality during the agreement period, an hourly wage of NOK is offered. 400,-
For medical students (from the 6th semester) who work as a holiday substitute in Vågan municipality during the contract period, an hourly wage of NOK 300,- is offered
For health professionals and nursing/social care students (after 2 years of study) with a medical course who work as a holiday substitute in Vågan municipality during the contract period, an hourly wage of NOK 300,- is offered
Holiday substitutes as mentioned above work a minimum of 75% position for a minimum of 6 weeks during the contract period, and receive documented travel and living expenses up to NOK 12,000,-
   
Job duties
Care and maintenance
The position involves work every 2 weekends in the summer, and/or long shifts by agreement.
2-part shift day/evening, and/or night by agreement
Medical treatment and follow-up of basic needs
Documentation in accordance with laws and regulations. Training will be provided
Qualifications
Norwegian authorization as a social worker, nurse, health worker and medical students.
We encourage you who want a future education as a health worker to apply, as we see that more people are training on the job and with relevant practical experience with us
Experience from work with health and care, but training will be provided
Good knowledge of Norwegian, both written and oral.
A recent police certificate must be presented before joining, cf. Municipal Health and Care Services Act § 5-24.
Employees must present a D-number at start-up in accordance with Salary payment.

Good collaboration skills.
The ability to work both in a team and independently will be emphasized.
Likes to work with person-centered care.
