Do you want to work closely with people and make a difference in everyday life? We are now looking for a support assistant for a group home within Support and Service, located in Burträsk. Here you will become part of an experienced team that together creates security, structure and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities.
YOUR ROLE
As a support assistant, you work to provide individually adapted support to people with intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. The work involves supporting daily activities, personal care, social interaction and participation based on each individual's needs and wishes. The efforts are carried out according to implementation plans and other agreed plans, where documentation is an important part of the work to ensure quality and continuity.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
To work as a support assistant with us, education in health and care or the children and leisure program with a focus on educational or social work is required. You may also be qualified for the position if you have other education that is considered equivalent. You have experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and are used to meeting people with different needs and conditions. To function in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, so that you can communicate, take in information and document your work correctly. The work can be physically demanding at times, which means that you need to have the physical conditions to complete the tasks.
It is an advantage if you have experience of working as a nurse, in psychiatry or with neuropsychiatric disabilities. If you have also worked with low-affective treatment and with pedagogical methods and clarifying working methods, it is an advantage. Experience of working based on implementation plans and treatment plans is also seen as a plus.

In the work at Prästgatan 4, you need to be structured and be able to work based on clear plans for each individual, follow up on goals and ensure that agreed interventions are implemented in a planned and equal manner. A good structure in the work is crucial to creating predictability and continuity in the business.
The work requires that you are stable in your way of acting. You meet people who may find themselves in pressured or changing situations, which means that you need to be able to handle stress and setbacks in a constructive way and maintain a professional approach even when the work pace is high or situations change.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and therefore requires good collaboration skills and a non-prestige focus on common goals. At the same time, you need to be creative and be able to adapt your way of working when conditions change, for example by finding new solutions when previous ways of working no longer work. The work also includes being able to interpret situations and see connections in order to adapt the efforts based on both current needs and long-term goals.
YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
Within Support and Service, we work to ensure that people can live as independent and meaningful lives as possible. The operation at Prästgatan 4 in Burträsk includes a group home where five people live and you will be part of a work group with a total of nine employees who together have extensive experience and broad expertise. Here we take advantage of each other's knowledge and collaborate to create a safe and functional everyday life.
The work involves weekend duty and is carried out according to a schedule with day, evening, weekend and on-call with sleeping readiness. Within the framework of the working time model, working hours are planned based on the needs of the operation and you have the opportunity to submit requests for your schedule.
