Job Description

The Intelligence Service – Knowledge about the world for the protection of Norway
The Intelligence Service's mission is to collect information and warn about conditions abroad that may threaten Norway and Norwegian interests.
In a world with highly advanced technology and complex external threats, the Intelligence Service must continuously develop new methods and capacities. We are therefore strengthening our organization at the Andøya Defense Station with expertise in networks, communications and data center operations. Is that you?

Job Duties
Responsible for design, installation, operation, development and system management within the field of ICT
Plan and participate in the implementation of technical installations
In the position of senior engineer, you will be assigned tasks within design, operation, development and maintenance within the field
Qualifications
The position has the following requirements that must be met in order to be considered as a relevant applicant:
For appointment as senior engineer, a master's degree or education at an equivalent level (major, professional studies, etc.) or scope within a relevant field is required. Relevant bachelor's degree or education at an equivalent level and several years of experience with good results will be able to compensate for the education requirement
For appointment as senior engineer, a bachelor's degree or education at an equivalent level (cand. degrees, former engineering education, etc.) or scope within a relevant field. Relevant higher education and several years of experience with good results will be able to compensate for the educational requirement
Long and versatile experience from planning, installation and system management of large ICT systems
Knowledge of the E-service and the organization and activities of the Armed Forces.
Good English skills
Class B driving license
Special requirements for positions in the Intelligence Service:
Applicants must meet the requirements for the highest security clearance.
For employment in the Intelligence Service, one cannot have anything other than Norwegian citizenship at the time of employment.
The position is subject to the obligation to order, cf. the Defense Act and the Defense Employees Regulations, which means that you can be ordered to international operations. This normally happens on the basis of willingness. The obligation to order entails requirements for medical and physical fitness and basic English skills. If you do not meet the requirements, you have the opportunity to apply for a dispensation.

Our employees have flexible working hours, the opportunity for training during working hours, as well as favorable loan and pension schemes through the Norwegian State Pension Fund.
You will receive an annual salary within the range of NOK 690,000 to 830,000 in the position of Chief Engineer (code: 1087) or within the range of NOK 785,000 – 980,000 in the position of Senior Engineer (code: 1181) in accordance with the current Main Collective Agreement. Final salary placement and position code depend on qualifications.
