Sound Technician (m/f/d)
Part-time (30 hours) to full-time (40 hours) – parental leave cover – also available on a freelance basis!
The Schmidt stands for first-class entertainment right in the heart of Hamburg's Reeperbahn: In our three theaters – the Schmidt Theater, Schmidts Tivoli, and Schmidtchen – we delight audiences with top-notch in-house musical theater productions, outrageous comedy, and quirky shows. With extensive service in our theaters, two in-house restaurants, a deli, an open-air wine garden, and three bars, gastronomy is also an essential part of our guests' overall experience.
... What you'll do with us
• Sound engineering setup and support for rehearsals, in-house productions, guest performances, and special events
• Configuration of digital mixing consoles, audio networks, playback software, and sound reinforcement systems (Yamah DM7, Shure Axient Digital, QLab, Waves Soundgrid)
• Creating, editing, and mixing playback (sound effects, music, and speech)
• Maintenance and repair of audio equipment
What you bring to the table
• Degree in sound engineering or sound engineering, a professional audio engineering qualification, or several years of experience as a sound engineer in theater
• Experience with digital audio technology
• Independent and solution-oriented work style in collaboration with our directing teams and artists
• Good hearing, a sense of rhythm, and musicality
• Flexibility in working hours
• Teamwork skills, high motivation, and reliability
