You support our process and plant development teams through numerical simulations with a focus on application development, making modeling expertise broadly accessible and usable. Your contribution helps advance research and development activities in the field of processes and industrial plants.
**What you can expect:**
* Contribute to the extension and validation of multiphysics process models.
* Develop applications based on these models to generate simulation-driven insights and support engineering processes.
* Integrate machine learning algorithms to improve model capabilities and usability.
* Translate customer requirements into functional application features and simulation solutions.
* Ensure an intuitive and efficient user experience (UX) for the applications.
* Actively contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the application environment, including build and dependency infrastructure.
**What you bring:**
* A completed Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of software development and machine learning, preferably using Java as well as MATLAB and/or Python.
* Experience in the simulation and modeling of mechanical systems (e.g., kinematic simulations or finite element analysis (FEA/FEM)).
* A structured, scientific approach to work.
* Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Very good English language proficiency.
**Salary:**
We prefer to discuss salary in person, but here's what we can already share: We offer market-competitive compensation, and depending on the position and your qualifications, a salary above the applicable collective agreement is possible from the start. For this position, the minimum annual gross salary is **EUR 53,900**, with higher compensation available depending on your qualifications and experience.
