Your new job | About your most important responsibilities
As an Accountant in training you are part of the Assurance Audit. In this role you are responsible for:
• During the interim audit, you and your team map out the processes and then check various items during the year-end audit.
• You not only look at the figures but also at the business processes behind them
• You have (daily) contact with the customer to obtain information or collect the correct substantiation.
• In addition to the audit work you perform, there are various opportunities for personal development. For example, you can focus on coaching, innovation, data analysis or quality improvement.

Your office
You can work at one of the nine EY offices in the Netherlands; Amsterdam, Arnhem, The Hague, Eindhoven, Groningen, Maastricht, Rotterdam, Utrecht or Zwolle.
Utrecht
Our office in Utrecht is practically located on the highway. FC Utrecht fan? The Galgenwaard Stadium is around the corner. The round shapes make this building extra special. During your lunch break you can enjoy your self-composed salad on the sunny terrace.
Arnhem
Our office in Arnhem looks a bit robust from the outside, but when you step inside you enter a super modern environment. There is a "hub" where colleagues come together to have lunch and catch up with each other, but this is also an inspiring place to hold meetings. The table tennis table, PlayStation and football table create an informal atmosphere in this office where you can easily find some distraction during work. A small-scale EY office on the 2nd floor with open workplaces ensures that colleagues enjoy working here.
Amsterdam
Our office in Amsterdam is located on the Zuidas: a vibrant place where many companies are located. Our Cross Towers welcomes as many as 1,500 people per day. For a breathtaking view of Amsterdam, go to the 22nd floor. Collaboration takes on a new meaning through the Wavespace. This high-tech environment brings together customers and colleagues virtually worldwide.
Eindhoven
Our office in Eindhoven is located in the heart of the innovative Brainport region where technology, collaboration and social impact come together. The office within walking distance of Eindhoven station is known for its open atmosphere, short lines and typical Brabant conviviality.
Rotterdam
Our office in Rotterdam is our head office and is beautifully located on the Maas with a view of the Erasmus Bridge. You walk straight into the city and downstairs you will find a cozy coffee bar. On sunny days, colleagues have lunch outside by the water. An inspiring place with an impressive view and a vibrant environment.
Zwolle
Our office in Zwolle has recently been renovated and feels modern and fresh. The location near the highway makes the office easily accessible. There is a friendly atmosphere inside and because it is a compact office, you quickly get to know everyone. A nice place where you can work together comfortably and switch quickly.
Groningen
Our office in Groningen is perfectly located near the highway with plenty of parking in front of the door. The office is small but nice and there are inspiring meeting rooms that many teams like to use. Due to the size of the office, there is a lot of interaction between the different departments. There is a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant on the ground floor is known for the delicious fresh and healthy lunch that the team prepares every day.
Maastricht
Our office in Maastricht is located in the attractive old coach house of Vaeshartelt Castle, surrounded by beautiful green surroundings, a quiet place close to the lively city. The office is known for its uncluttered atmosphere and genuine Limburg conviviality. Here you work together in a pleasant, personal environment.
The Hague
Our office in The Hague is a beautiful monumental building that has recently been renovated and renovated. You will find cozy sitting areas and functional meeting rooms. Everything is designed for collaboration. Our colleagues welcome you upon arrival and are ready for you with a good cup of coffee at our Coffee Corner or a tasty snack in the afternoon.
Your skills and abilities | About your unique contribution
• You have completed a higher vocational or university education in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or Business Administration, or you have a demonstrable affinity with the accountancy profession.
• You preferably have relevant work experience, for example gained during a job, internship or working studentship.
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
Your employment conditions | About your benefits and job satisfaction
• An appropriate salary for your role and responsibility, depending on experience and qualifications. Plus, a good pension. Good for later. On top of your salary, you also receive holiday pay and an annual bonus (depending on results and development).
• You will receive a full-time contract of 40 hours per week, with room for your part-time training. EY offers one study day arrangement per week, based on a 50/50 split between work and study.
• A laptop and telephone that you can also use privately and a monthly internet allowance.
• 25 days of vacation, to recharge and refuel + the option to buy more days.
• With the mobility budget you decide how you travel, for example choose an electric lease car, an affordable public transport subscription or easily arrange your transport via our app.
