We are looking for a senior IT specialist for our client in Heerlen. Organization and department description
Our client is a large and leading pension provider. They take care of the administration of more than fifty pension funds with approximately 1.3 million participants. They do this with more than five hundred employees from Heerlen and Utrecht.
The IT department, with 55 employees, is responsible for all IT activities, such as infrastructure, system development, application management, technical management, the service desk and IT security. You will work within the Infrastructure team. Job information
As an IT specialist, you are the person who is committed to solving the most difficult challenges within the management of our infrastructure. You see yourself as the end of the line, where disruptions and problems find a sustainable solution and you ensure that repetitive work is automated. You are responsible for the stability of the on-premise Dell VxRail cluster and have senior knowledge within, preferably, the following knowledge areas: VMWare, vSan, switching, Windows server and Red Hat Linux. You quickly absorb the things that you are not yet familiar with from your extensive work experience and you open yourself up to involving others in your technical vision and working methods.
In addition to the on-premise knowledge areas, you enjoy gaining new knowledge and you already have experience in management within the Microsoft Azure platform. Your interest in the field of Infrastructure-as-Code was aroused earlier in your career, making you proficient with Powershell, YAML and Terraform, among other things.
On a daily basis, you link pragmatic and fast action to process-based work according to the ITIL standards, whereby you are assigned a crucial role in the follow-up and implementation of the executive ITIL processes.
