job description - May 28, vacancy number: May 28, vacancy number: As an IT Engineer, your goal is to manage and optimize the IT network for COVRA's primary business processes. You bear broad responsibility for the hybrid IT infrastructure. In addition to operational management and resolving incidents, you are involved in targeted improvements and, where necessary, take on projects, such as migrations and innovations within the IT infrastructure. You contribute to the security, optimization and continuity of the environment and act as a point of contact for issues in the field of network, system and security management.
## You are concerned with:
• managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure (servers, virtualization, network and security); analyzing and solving incidents and structural failures;
• monitoring performance and proactively identifying risks;
• carrying out changes, updates and lifecycle management;
• installing, configuring and documenting IT systems;
• managing certificates and supporting security measures;
• carrying out project activities (implementations and migrations);
• managing and coordinating with external suppliers;
• supporting end users with complex IT issues.
You will work in a compact IT team where you have a lot of personal responsibility. The lines are short and decision-making is pragmatic. With your work you have a direct impact on the continuity of the organization.
